Mast Cell Biology and Microbial Immunity
We study innate immunity and host-pathogen interactions, focusing on how mast cells contribute to immune defense and tissue homeostasis. Our research explores how mast cells sense their environment through surface receptors and regulate inflammation at barrier tissues. We are also interested in their role in neuroimmune communication and their broader impact on health and disease.

Lab Values
At Pundir Lab, we are committed to equity, diversity, and inclusion. We value the unique backgrounds of our team members and strive to create a respectful and supportive environment. Mentorship is central to our lab culture, with personalized guidance for each member. Our lab practices emphasize collaboration, flexibility, and open communication to help everyone thrive in science.
Pundir Lab acknowledges that we work on the traditional lands of the Anishinaabe, Haudenosaunee, and Wendat peoples, under the Dish with One Spoon Wampum. We recognize our responsibility to respect and learn from Indigenous histories and communities.
