MICR*3230: Immunology I

This course provides a foundational overview of the cellular and molecular mechanisms of the immune system, with a focus on both innate and adaptive immunity. Topics include immune responses to infection and vaccination, immune regulation, and the basis of immune-related disorders such as allergy, autoimmunity, and immunodeficiencies.
MICR*3430: Advanced Methods in Microbiology
Offered in Winter semester. Class size: 60
Students explore soil-derived antibiotic producers using microbiological, molecular, and chemical techniques. As part of the Tiny Earth network, they design and carry out research projects aimed at discovering new antimicrobials from Canadian soil samples.
